October 6,2005

While I have still to exercise this week, I am back on plan as far as eating goes. I made some rice last night and some Stir Fry with Asian Veggies and 2 chicken breasts and about 6 pieces of chunked Beef, sliced very thin. It was really.

For breakfast today, I ate Oatmeal Splenda. For Lunch, I had Stir Fry and Rice. I plan on grilling some chicken breast later today and have thawed some broccoli and have some potatoes boiled as well as my rice cooked. I just need to go and get some Fruit for the next few days. Then I can stay on plan and begin to loose some of the weight I just gained back.

I am going to have my husband get my Gazelle out later today so that I can use that. I think I can use it if I am careful not to over exert and over stretch. Just do some Walking on it. I go the the doctor on Monday and I am sure he will set me up with Physical Therapy for the next 4 weeks. My right leg is so stiff from hy buttocks to my toes. And I still have some numbness and tingling in my right calf and foot.

I am happy that I am healing as well as I am considering I had 2 major Surgeries in 4 months. The first On May 15th I had an Open Lung Biopsy. This is a cut just under the breast that is about 6 inches long. and a small incision where they incerted the Chest Tube. They cut through my Diaphram Muscles and then between my ribs and seperated them and then cut a piece of my lung out. before putting my back together with tape and 1 stitch. I spent 5 days in the hospital. The Results of this Procedure was a diagnosis of Pulmonary Sarcoidosis. A crazy disease that has many potential symptoms and outcomes. There is no known cause and no known Cure. Just treatment of Symptoms. Steriods mostly to help with swelling. No Thankyou!

The second was a Laminectomy. This is Back surgery. with a 1 1/2 inch Incision, they doctor went in and took the broken part of my disk out. then closed me up with tape again. He did not cut through muscles so this was definatly easier healing. I was in the hospital less then 24 hours.

It has been Difficult trying to heal from these and stay positive and On Plan. I know I have to loose weight, Especially now that I have had 2 back surgeries. It is critical. I have to exercise and loose weight to keep it from happening again. But it just hasnt sank in yet. The severity of the situation.
